Version 1.0 · Not yet dated
Superseded
You are reading version 1.0, which is no longer in force. Read the current version.
This covers the Monopoly Run “Live” app on iOS and Android, and what it does with information while you are playing.
1. What the app is for
The app is the game. It confirms you are at a location, tracks your bank balance, shows the leaderboard for your game and lets you submit quiz answers and challenge photos.
2. Location
The app uses your device location to confirm you are at a property before a check-in counts. [Confirm whether location is used only at the moment of check-in or continuously, whether it is stored, and for how long.] Only one nominated phone per team performs check-ins.
3. Photos
Team challenges involve uploading photographs, which are reviewed by Control and scored. Photographs will usually contain young people. [Set out how long photos are kept, who can see them, and whether any are used afterwards for publicity.]
4. Your account
The app signs in with details issued in your team pack. It holds your team name, your group, your bank balance and your progress through the game.
5. What the app does not do
[Confirm and state plainly: no advertising, no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs, no selling of data, no background location outside the event.]
6. Third parties
[List every service the app talks to, including hosting, push notifications, crash reporting, live chat and any analytics.]
7. Young people
Most users are under 18. [Set out your approach: what is collected about a young person, what a leader can see, and what a parent can ask for.]
8. Your rights and contact
The same rights apply as in the website privacy policy. Contact [address] or use the help centre.
