You are reading version 1.0, which is no longer in force. Read the current version.
This covers the information we hold when you register a group, book places or use this website. The app is covered separately in the app privacy policy.
1. Who we are
Monopoly Run “Live” is run by [legal entity name and address]. We are the data controller for the information described here. Our contact details are in section 10.
2. What we collect
When a group coordinator registers, we collect their name, email address and contact phone number, plus the name of their group. For each player added to a booking we collect a name and the team they belong to. We collect a phone number per team so we can text the team pack on the morning of the run. Payment is handled by [payment provider], and we do not store card details.
3. Why we collect it
To run the booking system, allocate teams and Start Zones, send you your team pack and app login, publish results, and contact you about the run you have booked. [Confirm any marketing use and how consent is captured.]
4. Our lawful basis
[To be confirmed with your adviser. Likely a combination of contract, for delivering the event you have booked, and legitimate interests, for running and improving it. Set out each purpose against its basis.]
5. Who we share it with
[List processors: hosting, payment, email and SMS providers, helpdesk and live chat.] We do not sell personal data. Results published on this site show team name, group name, position and bank balance, and do not include individual player names.
6. How long we keep it
[Set out retention periods per category: booking records, financial records, results archives, helpdesk conversations.]
7. Young people’s data
Most participants are under 18. Bookings are made by the group coordinator, an adult leader, rather than by young people directly. [Confirm your position on consent and on how much player data is genuinely needed.]
8. Cookies
[List the cookies this site sets, what each does and how long it lasts, and how to change your choices.]
9. Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. [Confirm how requests are handled and the response time.]
10. Contacting us
Email [address], or write to [postal address]. Questions about a specific booking are usually quickest through the help centre.
